Which datas are being used, which can others see?

The fastest way to your profile is by clicking your name at the top right corner:

According to our data protection specifications other users can select your profile but won't be able to look into your personal data.

If you choose "Profile" and afterwards "Edit Profile" you will be able to add and publish your basic informations. E.g. you could:

• choose who gets to see your email address
• add a picture and/or your own description
• add more contacts
• choose a time zone (e.g. if your submission dates at long-distance-classes need to be adjusted)

Based on administratively reasons, your email address can not be changed. Though the IT-support is providing Tutorials how to integrate your HWR-address into other services.

WIthin "Messages" you will recieve internal moodle messages (no forum entries) which you can answer immediately.

The option "preferences" offers you the most choices to costumize moodle according to your desires. That way you get to edit your profile (as explained above) or change your preferred language for your entire moodle layout (German/English/French).

Under "Forum preferences" you get to choose whether you want to recieve a mail each time someone is posting in one of the forums (e.g. Ankündigung) or if you would like to recieve a daily summary. Also if new posts should be highlighted.

Under "Notification preferences" you can configurate about which moodle channels you want to get notified - whether online or offline. For every kind of notification you get to choose between Pop-up-notification within the browser or if you want to get sent an Email , or even choose both options.
