Portfolio

The button Portfolio gives you the opportunity to include all the elements from Content into your pages. You can share those pages with other or just use them for yourself.

You can add add chosen content into your pages, re-arrange them and present them later. This could include the following:

- pictures and other documents
- biography pictures
- planes and notes
- text blocks (your added comments and blog entrys)
- navigation blocks
- personal information
- videos and audios
- external content (links to YouTube, Google Maps etc.)

The way that Mahara is structured is that your profile dashboard will be the first thing for other users to see if they click on your name or your profile picture.

According to the main settings only the following items will be showing on your profile page:

- your name (either your nickname or your real name if you don't have a nickname)
- your portfolios (pages)
- your groups
- your contacts
- your dashboard

For data secruity reasons it is not advised to be using your profile page as a portfolio because you never know who could gain access to your data. Especially since all the users with access to your institution (students, teachers and SKH's of the HWR Berlin) have access to your profile page. Please always beware of your personal safety before uploading personal information about yourself or other Mahara users!

Additionally, you ge to re-arrange your dashboard. You will see that page when logging in. Only you have access to it.
