Dashboard
What does the user interface look like?
After successfully logging in, you will first see the startpage (your personal dashboard). When you log in for the first time, you can see the following blocks on your homepage: Navigation bar (1.), user information (2.), information box (3.), user-specific information (4.). Only you have access to your personal dashboard, nobody else can see it.
1. Navigation bar
In the navigation bar you will see two different buttons:
-
Your profile where you can access your messages and change your general settings.
-
A menu to quickly access the most important functions. It gives you access to the dashboard (where you are now), content, portfolio and groups, which will be explained in more detail.
The search box allows you to search for other Mahara users.
2. Personal profile
Here you can see information about your Mahara profile: your first and last name, the groups you are a member of and, if available, your profile picture.
The information box provides direct access to the most important Mahara functions: creating and sharing views and searching for groups. You can hide the block at any time. It can then be displayed again via the settings.
Here you get an overview of the latest changes, see new messages in your inbox, topics you are watching and your portfolios.
This overview can be edited by you according to your ideas, so that you can see the most important information immediately.
