Enroll participants in the course
As a rule, teachers and students are automatically entered in the courses. You will then either receive the role of lecturer or the role of participant / student.
If you would like to add users to an automatically created course, please use the role guest lecturer, guest student or student assistant.(More information about the role system within Moodle can be found
here.)
What are the options?
The students enter themselves into the course
This method of enrollment is suitable, for example, for the following scenarios: elective courses in subject area 2 or general information courses (eg internship). Here you find detailed information.
The teacher enters additional users in the course
1. In the class where you add new users, click the gear on the top right of the course name. The course administration opens and in the tab "Users" click on "Enrolled users".
2. It opens an overview of all participants of the course. At the top right is the button "Enrol users".
It opens a window from where you can add participants. It is important to first select the role under the item "Assign Role" - eg. Guest student or student assistant.
----- Attention: The roles "lecturer" and "participant / student" are synchronized during synchronization. Additional participants (student assistants, guest auditors, ...) must be entered via another role! -----3. After the role has been selected and the name of the participant has been selected or searched, the button "Enrol users" can be clicked. If required, several participants can be selected and enrolled at the same time.
Please make sure that the correct participant has been selected and has the right role.
You open your course for guests
Guests are users who do not have access to the mood system of HWR Berlin. Guests have reading rights in the course, but can not participate in any activity. They are also not conducted among participants.
