Course Communication
Announcements are available in each Moodle course. It just works in one direction, i.e. only instructors are able to post announcements whereas students can only read them.
If a new one is posted, students will get a notification via mail. These notifications are not unsubscribable by the students.
Furthermore, the latest announcements are viewable in the section
Latest Announcements.
How to post an announcement
Click on
Add a new topic in the section
Latest Announcements (see above).
OR
Click on
Announcements/Ankündigungen and then
Add a new topic.
You will be forwarded to an editor in order to write and post your announcement.
Additionally, it is possible to attach files to your announcement.
Pinned news will appear at the top of the forum.
Additional forums
In order to have a communication channel for students to discuss, it is possible to set up additional forums.
