Completion Tracking

Each lecturer can activate the "Activity completion at course level" functionality. To do this, go to the "Settings" > "Course administration" > "Edit settings" block. Under the tab "Completion tracking" select "yes".

Now the “Activity completion” section appears on the configuration page of each newly set work material / new activities. Here you can define the conditions for the completion.
There is always a choice between:
  • Do not indicate activity completion
  • Students can manually mark the activity as completed
  • Show activity as complete when conditions are met (my recommendation)

Furthermore you can define when an activity or a work material is completed. There are differences in the selection window. For example, for a large number of working materials, there is only the option:
  • "Students must view this activity to complete it".

For the forum you can even specify the number of necessary answers.

Activity completation options
With a combination of completion tracking and the restrict access setting personalized learning paths can be defined in the course.
