Guide for Adobe Connect

An introduction

With the appealing user interface of Adobe® Acrobat® Connect ™ Pro you have the opportunity to teach even without a classroom. With the support of audio and video content, you can customize trainings or lectures and always react to your participants. You can use all teaching methods and can work from anywhere. All you need is internet access and a headset.

Technical requirements

To successfully hold an Adobe Connect meeting, the following technical requirements should be met.

  • Computer with at least 1.4 Ghz performance and at least 512 MB Ram RAM
  • A fast Internet connection, preferably DSL
  • A headset with a microphone
  • A current browser with installed Flash plugin and installed Adobe Connect app *
(You can find more information about the system requirements here)

If you have problems, you can run the Diagnosetest and test, if all requirements are fulfilled.

_ Info: Since the last update, Adobe Connect has abolished the Add-In and replaced it with a desktop app. Use the app to open your meeting without using an internet browser. At the Berlin school of Economics and Law the app is automatically installed on the lecturers computers. Please note that the stationary PCs in the classrooms do not have the app installed. If the app is not installed on your PC, you can download and install it here without administrator rights. If you have problems, read the instructions for the Adobe Connect app or contact *elearning@hwr-berlin.de_
