1. Technical Requirements

  • A computer with at least 1.4 Ghz CPU and at least 512 MB RAM.
  • A Internet connection with at least 512 kpb/s
  • A current browser with Flash plugin installed and Adobe Connect Add-in installed.

2. Log in

The first step is to sign up as a guest in Adobe Connect. Your instructor should provide you with a link to the Adobe Connect meeting room. To make it easy for the instructor to identify you, it's a good idea to sign in with your first and last name.

You must now select "Gast" and give yourself a name. Click "Betreten Sie den Raum" to enter the meeting room.

3. In the room

Now you should have arrived in the meeting room after a short loading screen.
On the left you will find the teacher's webcam, a list of participants and the chat. In the middle area, the teacher can share his screen with you or show you presentations.

3.1 Making Audio Settings

By clicking on "Meeting" and then on "Assistent für Audio-Einrichtung" you should now set up your microphone and the playback volume.

The following video explains exactly how to make the audio settings. (German)

3.2 Communication with the teacher

Mostly the teacher will contact you via audio communication. The classic way to react to the teacher is to use the chat.

With the icon you have the possibility to get in contact with the teacher. This includes, for example, a request to speak („Zu Wort melden“) or asking the teacher to speak up or down.

If the teacher gives you the floor, it is necessary to activate the microphone beforehand. The microphone is activated when the symbol is green.

3.3 Further Settings

In the top area of the meeting room you will find various settings. It is possible to adjust the volume, make settings on the microphone and the webcam or activate the microphone or webcam.
