Geogebra is a mathematical software that combines geometry, algebra, tables, graphs, statistics and arithmetic in one simple package. Geogebra can also be integrated into Moodle via a plugin.
The main functions are:
- Allows a simple integration of Geogebra activities into the Moodle course.
- Facilitates students tracking, as the score, date, time required and result is stored for each user attempt.
- Students can cache the activity at a specific time and edit it later.
Provide Geogebra in the course
To make Geogebra available in the course, activate the Edit mode and add the Geogebra activity in the desired area. You will be redirected to the editing page of the activity.
Give the activity a name and a description.
Under Content, you can decide how you want to integrate your geogebra activity. There are two ways: via an external URL or as a file.
If you want to use an already existing Geogebra activity, look for suitable material here
. On this page you can also upload and share your own activities. Once you've found a suitable worksheet, click on the Embed feature and select the Google Sites option and copy the link to the URL field in Moodle.
If you have your own Geogebra project, simply select "Uploaded File" under Content and upload the .ggb file to Moodle.
Then enter further settings and click on save.
If you want to see a preview of the activity, click on Preview Geogebra activity or change to the participant role.
